I can use words like dope, word, snizzle and look cool.
All kinds of music introduce their own slang, not just rap.

Elaborate please? I'm doing a school survey.
I'd like to hear your opinion on this.

No you don't. You sound like an old fart trying to sound hip with the kids and failing miserably ;-)

My opinion on this is very strong. i believe that rap music influence lot of things in american and black history, also a lot of movements, being the son of a producer and a recording artist myself i'd say that music persuades people to do either good or bad. " music is a universal language". You don't necessarily need to speak English to feel and understand rap or any other genre of music to be exact stated by RandyMarsh.
Rap fails to communicate with me

Everyone has different tastes in music @DaisyNonna, do you have anything relative to the question, that'd be helpful towards my survey please.
Good luck with your survey.
It was about communication
I communicated
It depends who you are, rap music hasn't affected how I communicate at all.
Rap does not communicate. It is so esoteric that it is owned by a tiny group of initiates, who prefer it that way. It is a declaration of a heterodox way of life which very few people can be bothered to follow.
coz it dun make sense.. throwing one words together that don'e even rime.
Speak very fast with a back beat ripped from another 'true musician'
I'm really not into rap but loved this in the late eighties...

What do you do?
I said what do you do?
You ain't wearin' a tie,you ain't got a jacket
You can't come in 'cos you're in the wrong bracket
You can shove it
VIPs and royalty get treated like they're special see
But the trick is there for all to see
They're people just like you and me
Make sure you add Atlanta's comment into your survey.
Music is universal....
Rap in English, I will barely be able to understand you.
Rap in German, Spanish or Italian.... we certainly are not communicating!
Taddbeta...you are aware that 93% of posters on AB are British pensioners?
Not me Talbot.
How can rap music influence history? Black or otherwise?
Surely the music would have to be influenced by history?

I disagree that rap doesn't communicate. That is a matter of opinion
Lol Talbot that is what I was thinking but was too polite to say so :-)
