Tuesday. It's raining, but the promised hell and damnation has not materialised. I'm happy with that!

Lunch at the TA today. RAFA bi-monthly meeting. Always good fun with a great bunch of people.

Tiggy was in, had his supper ans scuttled off back to his nest. I don't blame him in all the rain.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning Boaty xx (and to everyone who pops in xx)

The wind's picking up a bit here, but all seems to have been quiet through the night, either that or I sllept through it!

Hope all is well with you x

Will lunch involve some quality control? :-)
G'day Boaty, hope you enjoy lunch.
Hasn't got above 28c here today, still wearing a jumper.
Fingers x'ed for the weather you lot are supposed to get, hopefully it'll bypass.
G'day Alba, sneaking in while I'm "tryping" my post.
Have a good'un.

Morning albs xxx No wind here at all...yet!

It's illegal to lunch at the TA and not do some quality control. The bar staff greet me but never ask what I want, they just pour it! :o}
afternoon Ozzy xx
Hope all's well with you and yours x

Glad to hear it Boaty, wouldn't be the TA if they asked YOU! :-)

back in a bit - tin-hat time Round 1 is due
Question Author
Morning oz. 28°C is positively tropical here! :o}

I always enjoy lunch at the TA mate, We've been eating there for 20 years! The majority of the staff I can remember their first day. :o}

Gonzalo seems to have passed almost unnoticed, unless it's playing silly games and is waiting for me to go out!

Having said that, the wind is just this minute getting up quite strongly!
Question Author
If I'm asked what I would like by a member of staff at the TA they are new! :o}
Good luck with round 1 Alba.
Just had #3ozzys girlfriend wander into our house 2.00pm.
"Aren't you s'posed to be at school girl?"
Had a fight with teacher and stormed off.
Had a chat then sent her back to apologise, might not happen, feisty little thing she is.
Question Author
Well done oz. Sounds like she could be her own worst enemy. You did the right thing mate.
You'd think after seeing you the "ole timers" would put 'em on track Boaty ;-)
Nothing like a place that feels like an "old glove".
Boaty..... She is her own worst enemy, nice kid in a lot of ways, but nothing is her fault....always someone else's doing.
a place that feels like an old glove to my mind is where the staff care about you and their surroundings to make you feel at home.

gosh Ozzy, hope she does do the right thing and apologise and then the teacher does the right thing in accepting it.

Quite oz. I sometimes drop in when I'm on my way back from somewhere or other, not 'just passing' as it's three miles from the main road, on the canal bank on the road to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust bird sanctuary at Slimbridge. It doesn't go anywhere else. The old hands will tell a newbie what's what if there is one about. I love the place!
Me too Alba. The kid lives 50 k's out of town and #3ozzy is out at work, rather glad she came here and had a chat with me. Doubt she will apologise somehow, to tough for that.
Question Author
Exactly albs. If she doesn't take the chip off her shoulder she is going to have a tough life!

There is a retired General who lunches every day at the TA and we often sit at adjoining tables near the window. There are three tables for two an d we will sit so that we can both people watch. He's a grand old lad, so he is.
quick update on the weather - a bit draughty round the ankles, wind is swirling inside chimney breast - pooch wanted to see wot'swot outside so opened back door and struggled to close it.
Can't see the wobbly lamp-post across the road as it's not working.
It's a good indicator of wind-speed :-D
Geez Boaty, I'd be setting up camp there ;-)

Off to work for a couple of hours now, finished my 6 hr lunch break.
All the best.
Morning boys and girls on this vile morning. The tail end of Hurricane Fernando Pedro whatever, has finally ht. It's been blowing a hoolie all night. I've been awake all night and now my poor old boat-race looks like an elephants been using it as a pillow !
My visit to Eastbourne yesterday was lovely and I got back late afternoon. You'll be relieved to note that no clergy were harmed during my visit so there will be no shocking press releases today
Question Author
Have a good'un oz. Nice to see you, as always mate. ;o}
I think it's nice to know that she feels she can come and talk to you, Ozzy, can probably tell you more than if she were to speak to her own parents and she'll listen and respond to you talking to her (as opposed to her feeling that others talk AT her)
Question Author
Morning jan xxx Well done on having a grand day out. :o} You didn't find any clergy to molest? Oh well, can't win 'em all, can you! ;o}
