Where are all the stripey *** this year? Normally my house is full of them come mid July, all making a bee line to come and sting me just for the sheer hell of it but this year there have been none. Just a lorry load of bluebottles and fruit flies.

I think they're all at my daughters' house. She had to call out the pest controller on Friday, cost her £40.

I think that those that have underground nests may have drown in the recent flash floods in some areas.
