It doesn't, 'cos I don't.
I wouldn't use any of those terms with the possible exception of Pole.
You can't be calling anyone names TWR. Very few of those are acceptable now, keep up!

But It happens every day in real life, Myself ( Taffy) does not bother me one bit.

What is your views on the street begger?

Opps,
Perhaps amongst you and your friends but I don't know anyone who uses those terms and I cannot imagine anyone I know every referring to someone from Scotland as being Scotch!
I was always told that scotch is a drink, a person from Scotland is a Scot. X
It's not about the word, but the intent behind the use of the word. And the P word is rarely used with any kind of affection in my experience.

And I wouldn't use any of the other words too, except Pole which is the only "proper" term there.
You're saying you're not bothered if folk call you Taffy. What if you were called Paddy or Jock because folk couldn't be bothered to differentiate between them? What if you were called Taffy as a term of abuse day in and day out? Would you be happy still?
What a brilliant way to put it, Corby.
Pole is the correct term for Polish person, Aussie (not Ozi) is a term that even Australians use about themselves, the rest are derogatory.
scotch.............is an alcoholic drink. scot..............is a Scottish person.
Why not refer to them as a Pakistani?
Question Author
There's more to life than to worry about that Corby.
