The Bible also recommends children be stoned to death if they are rude to their parents. As a primitive fascist belief system it relies on threats and violence to force compliance.

My children were not rude to me despite not the fact that I did not apply even a modicum of the discipline recommended by the books of the ignorant. Why? Because I treated them with respect. I never ever beat them. I never had to.

The whole "respect your elders" mentality and subservience of children encouraged by the Bible is completely wrong thinking. It brings up screwed up children who do not respect their parents but fear them.

The same applies to the faithful in general. God-fearing means exactly what it says.
