Trying to find information on a welsh woman.

Do anybody remember a woman (welsh I think) that went to USA and broke in a wild horse humanely against the cowboy way? A programme was made of it. She proved that horses could be treated with kindness and still achieve results without being rough. She was a forerunner to natural horsemanship and was never acknowledged as to how good she really was. I think she settled down in Wales at one point. Can anybody please come up with her name before I go nuts!
