Trespassing Travellers

Fifty travellers' caravans have appared overnight in a car park at a swimming pool. They have taken up threequarters of the car parking spaces. This has led to a gala being cancelled which was planned for tomorrow. Police/council have said it may take 24 hours to remove these vehicles. Why? Surely they could be ordered away within a few hours. If I parked there illeglly, I would probably be clamped. Lots of locals have had their gala day spoiled. That is unfair.

24 hours? youre lucky, it takes our council 3-4 weeks when they are parked on council land!

no doubt the clean up bill will be huge too, can the gala be resceduled?

Hi red. As we speak the council are appointing bailiffs to take action. No doubt the gala will be re-arranged.

Hi helpme to. Yes I agree, park and walk would be additional exercise. The real issues are that the carvans are parked illegally. Also some of the gala visitors were expected from some distance. Outcome, once again many peoples' pleasures spoiled by a few.

keep hounding your council SP. Ours said from day one they were appointing solicitors and bailiffs, the travellers moved on before the eviction was even served.

I hate it that they get away with it, they leave such mess and filth and damage when they leave. Well the ones that arrive here do anyway.
