That is true.
One wonders which is most effective.
Still, better to be in a peaceful society.

Agreed, but for how much longer?
Its not going to get any better, I dread to think what state this country will be in, in say five or ten years time.
I have a feeling that the same sort of thing will, eventually, happen here if immigration continues unchecked. Not happy about it at all and have been an unpopular Cassandra before.
"I have a feeling that the same sort of thing will happen here" I have been in SA when we have had to duck down to the bottom of our minibus because rival taxi companies where having a shoot-out from either side of the street and we were in the crossfire. They do things differently in SA..
The South Africans only want the same quality of life and opportunity currently available to Zimbabweans.
Won't be long now.
I live on the edge of Birmingham which has a high immigrant population.

A few weeks ago a local building (that had been a training centre for ambulance staff) was taken over by Muslims.

In their application they said they would continue with it being a medical training establishment.

But on their opening night they basically had it as a mosque and hundreds of people turned up, parking on pavements and on double yellow lines and blocked all the local roads.

Local people could not get to their homes by car and there were complaints, the police refused to give parking tickets to the cars parked on yellow lines who were visiting the mosque, and there was nearly a riot.

A local Facebook page that reports local news reported the event, and the comments that followed the report were full of hate and anger about Muslims, it was unbelievable.

A few days later someone put 4 pigs heads in the entrance to the "mosque".

I am afraid this country is in danger of having a civil war if immigration continues the way it has.

We have our politicians to thank for the mess we are now in through their soft stance on immigration.

AOG, are you not old enough to remember the Notting Hill riots?

/// AOG, are you not old enough to remember the Notting Hill riots? ///

Why are you always ready to turn the coin over instead of having to face up to the real facts.

Yes I am old enough to remember the Notting Hill skirmishes, can't ever remember anyone being killed though.

AOG, I like your use of the word 'skirmishes'. It's much more emollient than 'race riot' which is what the Notting Hill violence was.

It was a skirmish when you compare it with proper riots that take place throughout the World.
Enoch Powell gave his "Rivers of blood" speech in 1969. 46 years later I'm still waiting.
Graham;//Enoch Powell gave his "Rivers of blood" speech in 1969. 46 years later I'm still waiting.//
Really? don't you know what's going on at all then, or are you being ironic?
Just pointing out how wrong Enoch was. The immigrants of the '60s and '70s, by and large, assimilated themselves into our society. The "rivers of blood" that Powell forecast never happened in his lifetime and except for the action of a few extremists are unlikely to happen in my lifetime.
Tell that carp to Lee Rigby. RIP.
Baffled by Graham's comments ......
^^ How much extremist blood do you require? British soldier hacked to death in London street, journalists assassinated their office and shoppers killed in Paris, Amsterdam etc. etc.
