Opinions on fabric colour please :o)

Hi!
I have started sewing as my new hobby so am a novice. I am making some xmas cushion covers and was wondering what others thought would be a good colour for backing them.
these
are the cushion covers.

I think another blue, light or dark would be too much blue but red maybe too much. I am probably thinking way too much bout this but am interested to hear what others think.

'Evening, Wingnut! If it were me, I'd probably go for an identical blue (to match the darker shade) or maybe even a red (depending on your Christmas colour scheme), but being careful that it matched the red detailing in the picture. Good luck! Let us know what you went with. :o)

Yes I think it may well end up being a similar dark blue.
I don't have a colour scheme lol Everything is just thrown together with having youngs kids and not much money we just buy what we can afford and have collected (or the kids have made) over the years.
Hmm but then you see picking the red detail out and having a matching back would probably look good too! Damn it I am terrible sometimes when it comes to making decisions!!!
Maybe I should do one of each colour?

I reckon its gotta be dark blue so that the design takes centre stage without anything to distract
