Well I've occasionally done so inadvertently. No one apart from my wife has noticed - or if they have they've been too polite to say so. So it can't be that big a gaffe, though I'm assured it is one. |

Personally I would never brown shoes with a black suit, but that's the way I was brought up. It's the same reason I never do the bottom button up on a waistcoat. That said. times have changed and almost anything goes today. I still keep my jacket on until the MC says "gentlemen may now remove their jackets" and I loathe seeing rolled up sleeves and a top button undone with the tie half way down the shirt! |

(Sun 23:36 28/Jun/09) Personally I would criticise her choice. A black dress to a summer wedding?
(Sun 23:38 28/Jun/09) the answer is no the shoes will stand out like a sore thumb.if you are economising on the suit, surely you can buy an inexpensive pair of black shoes, the sales are on at the moment so you can probably pick up a nice dear pair for half price.
