Dubai

I heard that the fakes gucci etc in Dubai are actually the real things that have been shipped out the back door of the factory. Only they have to call them immitation because of the laws there, as that would be viewed as stealing and they would be punished. Is this true? Where can i get them when i go in summer? Can someone give me an idea of prices?

Yep, Gucci actually sell the real thing in Dubai for a fraction of the cost.

Firstly though, they take off all the gucci labels. They then take apart all the stitching. They then replace all the material with a cheaper material. They then restitch the garment, not paying as much attention to detail. Finally, they put on some different labels but they still say Gucci on it.

Real Guuci clothes. RRP £500 - Dubai price £5.

Not sure if you know this or not, but apparently in the new version of the Oxford English Dictionary (concise version), the word gullible has been taken out.

Hi debbi, don't take it personally but most people get a reply of this kind now and then (often actually). it was not offensive or anything so stop worrying about it and read some of the other posts, they can be a real laugh.

Remember that if you buy any fake goods abroad you risk losing them when you pass through UK Customs. Importing fake goods is illegal. (Although it's extremely unlikely that anyone just bringing in a single item would be prosecuted, the item would certainly be seized).

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but also the funniest.

I'd have to agree that their fake and more than likely sold to fund drug/arms dealing terrorism etc.

Isn't sarcasm the only form of wit to people who don't understand it?

go to karama in dubai, can get all the fakes, and yes they are fakes, often adidas will say adibas or other brand names will be mispelt. the quality is not good, best buy there are the polo shirts. also, dont be scared when they want to show you more products and they lead you up creepy steps in to the 'roof' of the shop - just trying to sell you more
