I am looking for a good 2 slice toaster. I am tired of reading so many conflicting reviews. Can anyone recommend a simple 2 slice toaster that does a good job and toasts evenly? Thanks for any help

Try tesco, Argos .

I think maybe you have misunderstood my question. I know where to buy toasters, as I said, I have read so many different reviews good and bad for the same item, I just wondered if anyone was actually using a toaster they could recommend. Thanks for your reply.
Don't make the same mistake I made . Make sure it is large enough to take a full large slice of bread . Gone back to using my 4 slice one .
This is the one we have it cones in cream-red-white and black, Amazon seems best price at £34.99

Depends how much you want to pay but I saw this on a shopping channel the other day and it looks really good.

Mine is serving me well. Its a Bosch private collection in white, and I probably paid between £25 and £35 for it.

I have just found the receipt for our Dualit toaster, it's dated 9/12/1995.
It has never gone wrong in all this time although it's used daily.
I'm so annoyed now! I had to get rid of my 4slice Dualit because the timer broke. I bought a refurbished one off eBay for £100.
The one in chiaroscuro's link looks perfect. I wish I'd found that one.
Dualits do tend to have dodgy timers, so chia has been lucky that his/hers has lasted so long, IMO. I do love those toasters though.
Hi foxy ferret we've just bought one in asda that is brilliant, my partner bought it so i'm not sure of the details but it wont have been expensive, it has wide slots so can handle crumpets etc, and has a lift function to check your toast mid cycle, we're very happy with it, its a silver colour so looks smart as well, I hope that helps

I brought a 'Simple Value 2 slice toaster' from Argos which is less than 6pounds. The power output of 800 watts and easy to use it. The most important thing is, it is recommended!! yeah!

Thank you guys for all your useful answers, what lovely people here on answer bank.

Cloverjo, you should have contacted Dualit. They take the toaster back to the factory and if the are still their the person who originally built it fixes.

Mine is going strong after 20 years and I love it.
