Can anyone recommend reasonably priced non-stick saucepan set ?
Thought I'd found the perfect set, got set of Tower ceramic ones just under a year ago, they were fab, but now they are sticking, not too impressed.

Why do you need non stick pans? Ive never had a non stick pan and have had the same set for 25 years, plus a couple of Wagners cast iron frying pans. If you buy good quality normal pans you shouldn't have a 'sticky' problem! Most TV chefs never use non stick, the secret, especially with frying, is to make sure the pan is quite hot before you add a good quality oil, then wait for that to heat, then place your chicken, beef or whatever in the pan, a good medium/high heat will be fine and things shouldn't stick. As for boiling veg etc, i'd recommend getting a steamer, much healthier and more flavour and no chance of sticking!
I have stainless steel saucepans and a couple of teflon non stick frying pans. I am never sure why anybody want a non stick saucepan?
....some people prefer non-stick for custard, scrambled egg, sauces etc....
I make scrambled egg in a frying pan and never have a problem with custard or sauces sticking.
I have recently invested in some Tefal ingenio - with removable handles, I bought the pans as I want to be able to put them in the oven straight from the hob.

Not the cheapest but oh my I love them - I now do so much in them - fried eggs without any fat at all - they just slide off.
I have a stainless steel set and a set of non stick I bought from Morrisons a few years back. They are as new. Like Ginge says....if I'm doing scrambled eggs or sauces I always use the non stick.

They were quite cheap (about £25) so I thought I'd just replace them....but two years later they are still like new.
I have scrambled eggs a couple of times a week, why the need to cook them in a non stick pan is beyond me! As I previously stated, with scrambled eggs make sure the pan is hot before adding oil, then let the oil heat up BEFORE adding your eggs, then turn off the heat as you start to scramble the eggs, there should not be a sticky problem! If you use butter, add a drop of oil to prevent the butter from burning.
I cook scrambled eggs in the microwave. No need to add oil then.
The OP asked where she could by non-stick pans and so far only Islay has given her a relevant answer.
I would never cook eggs in a microwave.
And I did...I said Morrisons.

We've had Tefal Ingenio for about 10 years or more (bought in France when you couldn't buy them in Britain). We have 2 sets, one in the house and one in the caravan. The detachable handles make them ideal for putting in the dishwasher and also save storage room since they stack nicely. They're wearing well too.
It's "beyond me" why people can get so snooty about other folks choice of pans. It's whatever a home cook feels comfortable with.

I work in a kitchen...and some days we see an awful lot of wirewool ...in spite of using heavy duty catering pots and pans. So what do I use at home?...a lot of nonstick. It suits *my* needs.
Exactly pasta - I have loads of different pans - one of my favs cost me a fiver from woollies 15 years ago - great little pan
