Hi guys, I have few questions about prescription glasses. The thing is, I've used contact lenses since I was a teenager. The prescription of my existing glasses is so old, I'd be terrified to use them for anything else than watching tv. As I'm working at the office and constantly struggling with eye strain, I've started to think maybe it's time to get a new pair. I'm determined to get my eyes checked for free, but seriously not crazy about most of the frames out there... Any experiences ordering prescription glasses online? I'm going after retro style with a decent price, like https://www.warbyparker.com/, http://www.baileynelson.co.uk/, https://kitegb.com/ ... Or is there better shops I should take a look at?

I get my prescription glasses in Tesco.
They have a reasonable selection.
Maybe worth a visit?
I get mine here £10 a pair and just as good as the ones from the optician that cost me £65.

As long as you have a valid recent prescription, you can get your glasses anywhere. But be wary about Tesco....from my experience, their staff training leaves a great deal to be desired.

Also, don't forget that not all frames are the same....some frames will feel comfortable and some won't.

Try some of the High Street opticians...they all have a cheap range.
If the specs are for office use, particularly using a computer screen, your company should provide you with them. They should also provide the eye-test.
Good point bhg...I had forgotten about that.

Thanks so much for your help guys! I went for kite glasses. I really love the design, but I'm pretty sure they got my prescription wrong. The glasses make me feel so dizzy.. I think I'll go and get a second opinion from another optician.
