Thankyou.........I must say I like the look of the Roberts retro style sets.

And a choice of different colours!

We must have good reception for The Archers......the stories this week are quite good, after rubbish for some months.

I`ve got a Roberts DAB in the kitchen and the sound is not good at all. It is disorted when the volume is turned up and there is some sort of connection problem that is only fixed when I thump it. It`s not that old either so I`m not very impressed. I`ve got a stereo Pure Radio in the bedroom and I`m pleased with that though.
Most decent-sounding DAB radios are quite expensive...cheap ones tend to be mediocre at best. However, in the latest Which? test, this John Lewis own-brand was the cheapest Best Buy DAB radio:

(Don't forget - you can order online and have it delivered, or collect at your nearest Waitrose!)
Kempton Park Market have had a huge batch of those John Lewis radios recently. I picked up one (not the stereo) for £9 and the stereos were going for £29. After I bought mine (I just wanted a cheap DAB for the bathroom) I googled some review sites. They got terrible reviews - which is why they ended up being bought by the traders at Kempton.
Strange....the Which? tests said they "sounded brilliant".
I suspect they ended up in a market because they were knock-off.
Apparently, they work for about 3 months and then pack up. It`ll be interesting to see what happens to mine.
Well, if bought from JLP, there shouldn't be a problem with a 2-year warranty....
Yes but you don`t really want to mess about with that. You just want a radio that works.
Just bear in mind that they keep threatening to abolish the FM waveband, so make sure it can receive DAB.
We bought this radio about 6 months ago - very pleased. It also receives internet radio - gives you thousands of stations. It just links to your router, either with an internet cable or wirelessly.
