Hello. I want to set up an online account with a supermarket to deliver food to my son who is at Uni in the north of England. I'm not sure if I should register as myself (address, card details etc) and hope that it has an alternative delivery option or if I should register as him and hope that my card details will be accepted. Any advice anyone? I don't want to get it wrong.

You can register yourself, address and card details AND choose another address to be delivered to. This way you can use one account for both of you. Just double check that the address you choose it to be delivered to is the one you want. Food shopping will come from a local branch/depot, so if the address is given wrongly there will be no reverse as the stores do not...

I assume the billing address will be different to the delivery address so there shouldn't be a problem. Yours is the billing, his is the delivery.
If you use Tesco, for £10 a month you can have as many deliveries as you like (between Tuesday and Thursday i believe) to yourself and other people. V useful if you have elderly relatives with mobility probs.
Looks like all the big online Stores allow you to have a different delivery address from the invoicing address Myriad
I am registered with 3 different Supermarkets for home delivery and you have an address book you can add to.

I would enquire first though just in case the first delivery needs to go to the cardholders address otherwise it should be fine.

Just double check that the address you choose it to be delivered to is the one you want. Food shopping will come from a local branch/depot, so if the address is given wrongly there will be no reverse as the stores do not have the capacity to share the shopping details with another store. To be honest- I'd just register under his address. Saves any potential dilemmas
Oh yes do take care, I once did an order for someone and had it delivered to myself by mistake - what a numpty.
Yes you are able to set up an account in your name to be sent to another address.

We rent holiday cottages and always have a grocery delivery on our day of arrival.
All the supermarket is interested in is the payment.
