posted on this before, i have finally bought my printer an HP 4500 now need to make sure i get the right ink, it uses the HP 301, black, colour combo, but when i looked in one shop it didn't list that printer, is it simply that its older stock and printer name not on packaging, or this is a newer printer. as i don't want to spend money then find have the wrong ink cartridges.

Probably just a new printer and no listed on the card. No need to discuss where to purchase replacements again: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Technology/Question1335348.html

thank you, i did look it up, but in one shop it didn't show the printer number which is 4500, only up to 3000 series, so i can buy the combo 301 and know it will work.
Emmie...try ebay. I have been using ebay for cartridges for my HP C6280 for years. Much cheaper than any shop !

after my other printer packed up, possibly the fault of the two comparable cartridges i bought, i am not sure i want to risk it with a new printer.
legit HP sources, i found that Wilkinsons do a combo black/colour for 20 quid. I don't do a lot of printing, however its always when you need it, it runs out.
