hmm, a nice idea, but because she's had tubes and wires etc, i'd rather wait for a special photo till she's home and wire free

Make a mould of her footprint take it to a local jeweller and have them make a silver keyring.

You could have the blank side engraved with a message, her name and DOB.

thanks for ideas. the footprint/mould is a nice idea too. Unfortunately it has rather negative connatations for us as it's all we have of our first daughter and son

I wish I could think of something nice Bednobs. However, I think having his baby girl home will be the best present in the world and something money could never buy.
If you wanted something small you could get matching teddies, hers saying "Daddy's girl" and his saying "Girlie's Dad". x
