Old Fashioned Dolls House

Hi

its my daughters 1st birthday next week and my dad was on the phone.

He thinks he's either going to get her an old fashioned rocking horse, thats 4ft long. So need to measure up for storage

But, he also suggested a dolls house that you could buy furniture for it, over time. So when she gets bigger he could get it a kitchen, bathroom etc for her birthday/xmas in the future

Can anyone suggest any places where i could find a good house that I could do this?

thanks

What a lovely idea. There are quite a few stockists if you google doll's house,

If you were thinking of antique ones I am sure there will be specialist antique toy dealers.
There is also ebay, but the quality may be more risky.
Personally I would prefer to view the real thing before purchase as I am sure its the sort of item you fall in love with.

Lucky daughter !!!!
i may be a bit late on this but some of the charity shops, i think sue rydER IS ONE, SELL DOLLS HOUSES AND FURNITURE ETC
You can't beat the old traditional toys like the doll's house, rocking horse or train set. They really do stand the test of time, not like a lot of these here today gone tomorrow electronic gadgets.
I've just been looking at dolls houses for my young daughter at http://www.woodendollshouse.org.uk
I hope you get sorted out with a dolls house which you can add furniture etc to over the years
