Christmas Presents

Hi,
Does anyone have any good ideas of what to get my parents for Christmas? My mum is in her 60s, still works, is not into wearing makeup or perfume, likes country & western music.....my dad is in his 60s also, but retired, and likes gardening and country & western music too.Very grateful for any thoughts.

Hey Headless,

Put that information into ebay and see what comes out!

Is there any particular country and western music they like? See if you can find something they dont already have and download it.

Hope this helps

Do they like books? I've been into Borders and Waterstones in the last couple of days and there are lots of sort of 'dipping' books - not novels, but the sort you can just open where ever and have a little read. I also saw a beautiful bronze vase with a dragonfly on in Past Times which was reduced by 40 per cent - I'm still debating on whether to get it for my sister-in-law.

a gift voucher for a local restaurant for them to go out for a meal? Not sure where you are based but here in Scotland they have 'The National Trust for Scotland' you can get them membership and they can get discounts on days out and free parking at those places. Also another thing I did as part of my dads birthday one year as he is a keen gardener I got him a membership for a local garden centre. Not only does he get a discount for any purchase but they also get free coffee and a scone for 2 once a month. I know some people dont think much thoughts go into vouchers but my mum in particular loves nothing more than wandering the shops and picking new things for herself - she is a pensioner now so not much spare money.
