Little Black Dress

I have a black halterneck dress with a swirly skirt for the Xmas parties. Do I wear plain or patterned black tights with black shoes or coloured tights and matching shoes? One of the venues is a marquee so is likely to be a bit cool.

If you are young I would go for bright coloured tights and black shoes - green looks nice I think.

Black tends to look "more mature" when worn with black shoes and a dress

Thanks for the replies girls. Chazza, I think I fit into the 'more mature' bracket although I'd like to think I look good for my age!
