question for plus size women
Hi I im a plus size young woman in my twentys and I find it hard to find modren clothes for someone my age. but I saw this cute black mini ra ra skirt in a shop what as my size but I am unsure wheather to buy it or not because of my size.
Is there any size 16+ women out there who wears short skirts specially on holiday and in the summer.

Try it on and see what it looks like.
I am 16+ and personally wouldn't be seen dead in a short skirt but I guess it comes down to how confident you are about your body.
Generally I feel that larger ladies should keep their legs covered up :-)

One of my friends is a size 16 but her legs are lovely and slim! if your the same then go for it!!

Yes some plus size women do have legs which look ok. The trouble with Ra Ra skirts is the ruffles will add size to the hips, so it probably won't look very good. However, if you're confident enough to wear one, then god for you.
Ra Ra mini skirts tend to be quite young fashion, so are probably sold in places like Top Shop or Miss Selfridge, which usually only go up to a size 16, but New Look & H&M probably do the same kind of thing, but have a larger size range.

Depends how much you are on the plus side really fabemmy. It could make you look bigger. But like sammy snake says, try it on and see what you think. If you feel comfortable in it then go for it. Once you try it on you'll probably know straight away if it's not right for you though.

right, ignore all these people telling u that us larger ladies should not wear skirts ect... its bull! i'm 21 and bigger than a 16... im wearing a bikini on holiday, why shouldnt i? ive got the same as everyone else just bigger and better. i think that if u like it buy it! if your anything like me, u'll wear it a few times then put it on ebay lol take care, and be brave!! xx

Thanks for the great answer Boogie87. I am 20 and bigger than a size 16 as well. I usually wear what I want but I hate it if someone comments on the way I dress. I am glad there is other young bigger women out there who wears what they want.
