Halloween Fancy Dress suggestions
I have been invited to a Halloween fancy dress party, and I would like to dress up but I don't have a clue what to go as. I'd like to make the outfit myself but don't have much money to spend on it.
Please don't suggest cutting two holes in a sheet and going as a ghost, I already considering that one lol

When you're asked, say you're ateenage mutant ninja turtle. When they point to the doll, just say "oh, that's michelle".

you could buy a whole load of green balloons and attach them to yourself and go as a bunch of grapes!!!!

Actually - you could just get a large square box, paint squares on it and go as a rubik's cube?
If you want something 'scary'
Mummy : Wrap yourself in white bandages. Use splotches of green paint for "mould". Use white make-up on face with "age lines" drawn on. The stiff-legged gait works perfectly.
Cereal Killer : Attach little cereal boxes to a shirt, cut a slit in the boxes, glue in plastic knives into the holes, drip red paint running down from the knife hole in the box.

Matalan now do fancy dress in their main stores. I think for a whole outfit it's £25 but you can by bits and add to it. How about a pirate wench. Stripy socks and 3/4 length trousers or a short lacy skirt. Ebay also do cheap dress up stuff.

or you could go dressed as a normal person, half the killers out there you wouldn't even know about. ;)

Go as a devil - you just need to wear red and get some horns and a fork - Claire's Accessories sell this type of thing all year round for hen nights etc.....
or so as the witch from the Wizard of Oz with the stripey socks - that should be easy enough - long(ish) black skirt, black top, stripey socks - you just need to buy a wicthes hat (Matalan)

I was thinking of getting some thick rope and putting a metal coat hanger through the middle of it and tying around my neck like a noose then maybe just shabby clothing and some blood near my mouth

get some old clothes and really dirty them up with dirt and mud, then get you a clear peel off facial mask from the cosmetic section. Cover your face with the peel off mask and let dry, then apply some regular base over the top and let dry. Slowly peel off sections and let them hang down to look like rotting skin, rub some blush on your real skin that is then exposed to look like bloody skin. Add some dark circles under your eyes with an eyebrow pencil and you are a great simple zombie chick!!

Here's one idea I have for you... I'm hoping you have most of these things... Get a plain white button dress shirt, button it most of the way, then tie a knot at the bottom. Get a slight flair (plaid if you have it) skirt. Skirt would look better if were just above the kneecaps. White stockings (thigh high) and some penny loofer type shoes (black if you can). If you hair is long enough, pull in 2 pig tails one on each side of head, but keep them loose (not tight). Then take eyebrow pencile and dot some freckles on tops of cheeks. Ta-da! slightly sexy school girl!! If you don't have alot of these items, I'm sure you can find them at any thrift store. GL
