Slimming Club!

Anyone wanting to joing this club needs to declare their weight now and advise of any weight loss (or gain!) weekly.

hi is it still ok to join. i am 5 foot 6 and weigh 12 stone 9. i know im big. i have put on 3 stone since having the injection 18 months ago and cant seem to get it off again.

I have decided I need to be more strict with my eating plan on slimming world and if a rate of weight loss that I am not happy with doesn't happen then I may have to try summat else
I know it works as I lost all my baby weight on it last year but then went back to my comfort eating ways hence the nearly 2 stone weight gain

yes slimming world does work but dont seem to be working much for me at mo ...ive been really good this week just hope tomorrow when i have weigh in i have lost

Well, everybody I am going to be the heaviest person on here. I am 5'7" and weigh just under 20st, I am morbidly obese and have a BMI of 40. Right thats got that off my chest.

I am going to the docs tomorrow as she is going to start me on slimming pills which make you poop out fat (DISGUSTING!!!). I have had to lose 5.5lbs/2.5kgs to be able to be put on them so hope I have lost it, I have had 4 weeks to do it.

I am currently reading a book called French Women dont Get fat. It is a good read and I feel that it has motivated me to make me do better. It is all about doing things in moderation and being allowed to enjoy the things we like. Really taking time to enjoy what you are eating etc rather than feeling like a bit of chocolate but feel guilty so kinda sneak it and eat it fast!!! Worth a read. Is probably not telling me anything I dont know already but just making me think a bit more about what I am eating and when. Good luck to you all with your slimming club.

good luck in particular to Kaztuz. Are the pills just to kick start the weightloss?? Do your best and be honest with yourself as to what you are eating and what exercise you are doing. Keep a food diary and see what changes you can make. Find sometime in your day just to walk a little and then walk a little further.

The Dr has decided to try me on them as I have been struggling to lose weight even after increasing my exercise. Unfortunately I have ME which restricts the level of exercise I can do and it also causes problems with my blood sugar levels which means when they go down I have to have a sugar hit even though at times I am not even hungry.

The tablets work by stopping your body from absorbing a percentage of fat, so they works in two ways, firstly by restricting your absorption of fat and then making you eat a low fat diet, as the side effects can be horrendous. Involuntary bowel movements, flatulence the lot.

The only way you will lose weight and keep it off is by eating healthy. Always have breakfast. Grapefruit juice is good for helping to break up fat. You don't have to live on salads. Grill or use the cooking grills. Just cut out all the sweets choc biscuits ,cut down on bread, use brown.Low fat milk and products.You can have most variety of foods if cooked properly.Have lots of chicken and fish meals. Have the odd treat at the weekend in moderation.Getting back to the grapefruit juice it seems to help me from craving for sweet thing. Make sure it is the unsweetened.This may not work for everyone but it does for me.Tablets low fat shop meals are just a con make your own and freeze them, then you know for sure.

Hi everyone! Just popped in to see how things are going and am thrilled to see how many people have joined and are helping each other.
Unfortunately I have had a VERY traumatic week which means I have had to pick up take aways and eat late at night. All wrong I know, and not a very good start. I am sure I will not have lost anything this week. On the plus side, I have not eaten any chocolate all week which is a big thing for me and I am really pleased with that.
I would like to apologise in advance for probably not losing anything this week but hopefully my week will improve and I will then get in the right frame of mind. Hope everyone is having a better week than me! xxx

Well I am not happy still no more weight as come off so think I am going to have to join a club as really don't know what I have done wrong
I have had no chocolate for 30days or biscuits or cakes
I am upset but I am determined to get this weight off so I will try new tatics x
Hope others have had a better result than me

As I suspected, I have not lost anything this week, in fact I have put ON 2 pounds. I'm really sorry I haven't set a good example but believe me I have had a great deal of bad luck this week. It's involved a group of yobs, the police and me having to make a statement. (never been involved with the police and so it has really shaken me). I know this does not excuse me eating but I couldn't help it! Anyway I am more relaxed now and will endeavour to report something positive next week. Will keep checking in to see how everyone else is doing. xxx

lil123. It's disheartening isn't it? I too have not eaten sweet stuff this week so was hoping that perhaps that had helped but it didn't. Actually thats just made me think..............despite the horrible week I've had, I didn't succumb to chocolate!!!!!!! There is something positive!

Perhaps you could try a little exercise if you are doing everything right food wise. I can't do much because of my back but I am going to try and do some walking three times a week (even though I find it really boring). Maybe you could try it too? Lets see how we do over the next week. xxx

I am going to do my new exercise dvd everyday and join a slimming club again I cant really afford the £5 a week but then I cant afford to stay like this either as I will have no clothes to wear soon

Hi all,i havent lost this week but i havent gained either.I had planned to workout 5 times during the week but only managed 3.Ive eaten healthily all week apart from last night when i had a balti and a sneeky flake bar for pudding.
I shall carry on this week and hopefully will have better results next saturday.Keep up the good work ladies.x

if any of you take any medication for anything check that dont give you weight gain ....i was taking some thing that gave me weight gain i never know untill about 8 months later when i had put on over a stone why i had put so much weight on good luck everyone
