I will be back in our flat with my wife, newly renovated after flooding, flat.

It is our first christmas as husband and wife and she will be 21 weeks pregnant at the time so we will be eating lots of chocs and generally vedging a lot.

New Year, we will be in the north of Scotland with relatives and so will hopefully see some snow.

I hope everyone has a really nice Christmas and gets what they deserve, gets to see someone they haven't seen for a while and comes out of it all the other end, nice and safe.

Vegging - a passive activity - how do you do that, then?

I shall be all on my own and am looking forward to doing just what I like for a couple of days, I'm going to M & S to get some nice Chinese food and a couple of bottles of wine. Actually I won't be quite by myself, I've got my friend's dog coming to stay for 2 days so I shall also be going for some nice country walks. I'm quite looking forward to it!!

After many years of traipsing up motorways to "do Christmas" in the shape of food shopping and cooking for elderly parents now deceased, we will be enjoying a quiet Christmas at home, having a solo neighbour to join us for Christmas day. Ah, the bliss on waking up in your own comfortable bed on Christmas morning!
