Didn't have any up and recycled ~Xmas cards on the 28th....norty I know but I couldn't help myself being a bah humbug sort of person!
Most certainly not! We love them and will keep them up as long as possible until Friday (12th night) they make everywhere look so pretty as we have lots of indoor lights and they hide the cobwebs Ha Ha.
Not yet.............the cleaner will do that on Wednseday.
Get you craft lol...just cos you've got that butter dish...I don't know...some things go to people's heads lol lol lol
going to start with some stuff tomorrow, this will be the last day i'm lighting the tree and santa
lol daisy................she only does the decorations 'cos I'd probably fall off the ladder.
Like Ann86, ours won't be coming down until Friday. Ours go up twelve days before and come down twelve days after - always have done, always will do. :)
Our came down yesterday.. You don't realise how claustrophobic they make the house until they're down :)
Never had any up.
Oh you mean the decorations. I thought my luck was in then!
^ what slinky.kate said.
Will be taking mine down tomorrow. Pack them all away for another year. Re-cycle the Christmas cards too.
Taking mine down tomorrow, just leaving the Belen (creche) up until Los Reyes 5th Jan, then away it all goes.
I'm surprised nobody seems to like having your pretty decorations and lights up, we (Oh and me) have been sitting in the dark with just our tree lights twinkling on and off also lights on around our arch between lounge and dining room, Nativity scene lit up, lights on hall tree and around front door and of course our outside lights in the front garden - not tacky but nice red berry lights in the shrubs which lit the way home for weary travellers through the pitch darkness of our street until 3am when we switched them off this morning!
We love having them, ann - ours are twinkling at the moment - but once we go back to work on Tuesday, we'll need them down, otherwise they run the risk of still being there on Twelfth Night. They come down tomorrow!
Isn't it that they must come down AFTER twelfth night boxie? I always thought that ........ when IS twelfth night by the date - Friday?
No Ann, they must be down BEFORE Twelfth Night, 6th January - it's unlucky to have them still up after that.
taking ours down in the morning after brekkie. Ours is the last up around here so we'll enjoy our last night till next Xmas!
Yes we usually take them down during the day of the 6th January (sometimes on the 5th)
Boxy is right. They all must be down by Twelfth Night or you will have bad luck all year long.
