Christmas advert restriction

Are there any websites dedicated to trying to curb the constant pressure of Christmas from big businesses and the like by preventing advertising before 1st December? I have read somewhere that certain countries have a ban in place already - or is that wishful thinking on my part. I don't hate Christmas - just the "buy, buy, buy" pressure
