Christmas

smug xmas supermums

I am really peed off with all of the smug relations and friends who have finished shopping for and wrapped thier x-mas presents! They ask "have you finished for x-mas yet?" to which I reply ..your joking aint you, not even started yet, only to be told "I have finished and wrapped all mine ready, (followed by smug grins...........) GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! This is all for one day, some of us have jobs and other stuff to do from March (which is when most of them start shopping) to the end of November. Does this annoy anybody else?

dont get annoyed because people plan events, they have taken time and hard work to be organised, I do mine early because its easier than leaving everything to the last minute, most people have very busy lives but they still put the time in.

My sister-in-law buys the whole of the next christmas in the January sales. She also writes all her cards for the whole year, seals them and writes the date she needs to post them in the corner of the envelope. Everything bought, wrapped and ready to go by mid January!!!!! INSANE!!!!!

I don't think it's insane at all. Who wants a last-minute rush?

I saw someone buying genuine hot cross buns today - with the crosses on. Maybe she's going to freeze them for Easter.

i have a huge family so generally start shopping early, alllmine are wrapped and sent down south with the mother in law as the family dont visit often i only do it to save on postage later on! Still got a few left to get. Also i like to get things when i've got the money so i dont spend it on somehing else, ie a new pair of knickers (knickers are my thing, kinda like most women with shoes!)

Ice-Maiden asks "Who wants a last-minute rush?" Answer: "I do!".

I once started my Christmas shopping at 3.30pm on Christmas Eve. That included buying all my Christmas cards, including those which had to be posted overseas. I'm slightly more 'organised' now but I'll probably still end up deciding that it's not worth posting most of the cards (or else I'll send last minute 'New Year' cards, which, as an atheist, makes more sense anyway).

I do have to admit to a determination to ensure that my (adult) son receives his Christmas present on time - but that's only because I want to put his (August) birthday present in the same package :-)

Why on earth are people even thinking about Xmas now? Just forget it until 24th December.
