can a blind chameleon change its colour?

Y is the poor thing blind? Hope you haven't put a mask on it. Put it onto different colors and see what happens.

Seeing as how they change their colour according to their mood, not background... yes, they will change colour when you pick a blind one up because it will be alarmed. They can alter the layers of cells called chromataphores at will to instantly adjust the light reflection and so appear to change colour.

If you run them over, blind or not they eventually turn black!
