can anyone explain in simple terms why the decimals of pi appear to go on indefinately..?...then i ll let you into my little secret that there are a finite number.

It appears that enlightenment in regard of this transcendental number having a finite number of decimals is just π in the sky.

how could i calculate the four figure over for figure fraction...could you whack it up with a couple of thousand decimals i was interested to see the longest chain of zeros
