oil or the environment

As the worlds oil supplies start to dry up do you reckon it will be open slather on drilling in those areas that are currently off limits? I d say it will be an absolute certainty that nowhere will be out of bounds if there is the slightest hint of oil or gas.

I agree. Alaska & Canada will probably be the first as it's nice and close to the US.

Mind you, I do like driving my car and keeping my house nice and warm and so do most people so the oil companies are only giving us what we want.

I always find it amazing that the new discoveries of oil fields aren't highly publicised. Perhaps tha's because the price can be kept artificially high if we all think that it's running out far faster than it really is. I have read that a fairly new large oil field has been discovered offf of Brazil. Here is news of an earlier one thay found.
