If there was no life on Mars before we started sending rockets there maybe the same can't be said from now on. Surely there must be some contamination from our input and maybe if Mars is visited some millions of years hence there will be a thriving community.
After all this is probably how the Earth got started!

I suppose these are unique as the are pictures taken by the first successful soft landed projectile on Mars.
Now that humankind has wasted another zillion+ dollars, perhaps it is time to start thinking about solutions to the very real hunger problem in the 3rd world countries.
