The world's largest plane the Stratolaunch has been rolled out, first flight expected within days

The Stratolaunch is made of two 747 fuselages joined together, it is designed to carry rockets and spaceplanes high into the atmosphere from where they will be launched into orbit.
This will save a huge amount on the cost of a ground launch.

That sounds like a 'cut-&-shut' job performed at a dodgy back-street garage in Peckham! Is it sold by an Arthur Daley-type character with an assurance that it's only had one careful lady owner, perhaps?

;-)
Excellent stuff.

As large as it is, its maximum take off weight is considerably less than the Airbus A380.

^ True NJ, but it is intended to carry a 'Large Space Plane' between the two fuselages, that will increase the weight somewhat!
