First one is 2x1 = 2
I have answered 2 before as A if it's a question about the terms of a sequence for n=1,2,3....

Thank you, sorry I meant to only post the first one
The reason the answer is 2 is that we are calculating 2 x (-1)².
The square of (-1)² = 1 so the sum becomes 2 x 1.

You should probably have been able to do the first one yourself. Simply replace the x's in the function with 2's and remember that indices are actioned before multiplication.
