Paste Link Not Working In Excel 2010

I have a graph in an Excel spreadsheet that updates regularly and I need to paste it as a link so it also updates within another spreadsheet but when I try to use 'Paste Special', the 'Paste Link' is greyed out.

Can any Excel guru's help ?

Make a new graph in your new spreadsheet but when you select the 'data source' for that new graph, choose the source cells from your other (old) spreadsheet.

So effectively both graphs are their own entities but they are just built from the same set of numbers.
