Fao jim360. Don't understand how I access this post but would love to. New to all this. Thanks.
you just have accessed it, scooping!
Question Author
You can ask questions just as you did in the other thread, just type it in the main box -- just that here it might not get in the way so much of the main conversation, and we can therefore give it more attention.

A bit late perhaps, but welcome to AB :).
I'm getting there. Thanks.
just to keep it in the current list...
Dear scooping,
Welcome, as jim said, fire away.
Oh of course, make sure you subscribe as well as ask or make statements.
Kindest Regards,
SIQ (preferred abbreviation for solvitquick, which I don't)
Sorry jomifl,
I'm confused already by your "just keep it in the current list". Wot's that mean?
SIQ.
He means click the 'subscribe' option (located in the original text box next to the report button. That will place the thread heading in a grey box headed 'subscribed threads', located on the right of the screen. Try it.
Jomifl- keeping it in latest posts, i think.

welcome, scooping x
Dear Naomi,
Ty for answering on jomifl's behalf. As you know I have already advised scooping to do this, so he/she should now be on song. Jom's phrase was not clear to me - is it commonly used to describe subscribe?
Oh, scooping, if you see a subject to which you might wish to comment in future you can subscribe without immediately submitting a comment or question. Don't overdo it or you will have a massive mailbox:).
Back to Naomi,
Luv,
SIQ.

OK SIQ. Many thanks.
Sit, I don't know if it's a commonly used phrase, but I don't know a better way to keep a thread in the current list, as Jim puts it. I answered because I thought it might help scooping to have a quick answer. No intention of treading on toes.
Sorry, predictive text. Siq not sit.

Ditto Jim. Should read jom. Must turn the predictive text off on this tablet or go back to the desktop in my study.
Dear Naomi,
Ty for everything. No probs for me in fact a great help to all. Predictive text any better than Ouija board:)? Rhetorical only.
Kindest Regards,
SIQ.
SIQ I just had to tell you that siq is also the word to describe the dried up river bed ( and clashing walls ) that leads to the ancient city of Petra

not really I science question I know
Dear Peter Pedant,
Ty for that info. Very appropriate I thin......k,,,,
I adopted the name "SIQ" on the wise advice of our dear Naomi if I remember correctly. It is a bit sick but better than the arrogant "solvitquick" which I don't do of course. That was about crosswords only at the time (approx 100 years ago) and I was still slow at them!
Oh, oh. oh if only AB would allow us to change our pseudonyms
Yours is fine by me. You are not a nit-picking pedant but a great and often amusing contributor.
With my many thanks Peter from,
An old dried up SIQ:)
