Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Can anyone tell me please why 23a DANCE PARTY (4) is rare. Have looked rare up in the on-line dictionaries and can find no relation to dance or party? Was this a bad clue or what?

Not Rave, that was what I thought of straight away. I am doing this on-line and all the other answers are right.

Nope, I have submitted it now and it was definitely 'Rare' that's the trouble doing the crossword on-line I will not see if they print a apology tomorrow. So infuriating as it took me ages to work out what went in there and lost my time bonus.

I think it might be RARA as in rara skirt.

The Telegraph Puzzles Editor has now corrected the clue online (it's too late for the newspaper!) to "23a Uncommon (4)". Expect an apology tomorrow!

@anacryp - when you do the puzzles online you know if you have the correct answer and RARE was the answer expected.

The word RORT comes up as a wild party, as opposed to a 'Dance Party'.
