Saturday Telegraph £500

I think there is a mistake in the grid. 56a says "Nigerian capital" and the answer should be ABUJA but it doesn't fit. The answer seems to be LAGOS but as far as I know that hasn't been the capital for at least 20 years. Maybe the clue should have been "Former Nigerian capital".

Lagos is the Largest City I think - but you are correct. The capital is Abuja.

I think that this is the wrong answer too, but only LAGOS fits the grid.
