LOL all gardening pests and diseases are a puzzle to us all modeller. could it be Powdery mildew?

Could be but this year there very little of it compared with last year but I must see if its practical to spray a whole tree which is roughly 12/15ft tall (4m/5m). Assuming of course there is a suitable spray.
