I have ladybird as well and her name was Ladybird Johnson

the answer is Ladybird who was 'Lady Bird' Johnson, the nickname for the wife of President Lyndon Johnson.

Her real maiden name was Claudia Alta Taylor .... but always 'announced' (ie referred to / called) Lady Bird Johnson!
