Another Blooming Quiz

With reference to a query on Q.54 asked yesterday. Not wanting to give anything away but am I right in believing that the answer is not the ship Mayflower, but the other one which had to return because it was leaking. The Mayflower left in 1620 but did not return that year.
The original query was asked by doogie

I have counted answers / broad hints for 83 clues of this good quiz have now been given on this site ....

Such help seems 'excessive' .... leaving just 17 clues unanswered on this site .... the easy ones that did not need any help?

I know this is an Answer site, but it has become more than that .... and, some of us think such a level of answering underminds the effort of those who do the quiz by much more personal effort .....

As someone who has finished the quiz I was just interested because I thought that the questioner "doogie" had possibly been given an incorrect answer.
So please get off that high horse and stop using such a holier than thou attitude.
It may interest you (or probably not) that I also hold the opinion, along with a lot of others, that some people do take advantage of the good nature of the ABers - but so what!!! Does it matter in the grand scheme of things and if you're that bothered why do use the site at all!!!!

oh dear jenniferd ...
how rude can you be? ....

I made no harsh comment, rude or otherwise .... I expressed a view held by a number of abers, that here is a limit whereby giving virtually all answers is excessive .....

YES some people do take advantage of the good-nature of abers ....

BUT before making the above comment - which is in essence the same comment that I made using other words, you get rude and thereby offensive ....

I don't think I was at all rude - just making an observation. It obviously touched a nerve with you!!!!
The replies to "doogied" query on 11/05/08 @ 21:52 are worth looking at - except mine of course!!!!!

`So please get off that high horseand stop using such a holier than thou attitude` ....

your words not mine - it is my comment that seems to have touched a nerve :-)

and, as you said `It may interest you that I also hold the opinion, that some people do take advantage of the nature of ABers`.....
