These ones seem pretty bizarre to me!
No theme, but the setter is keen on sports...

7 BS in TPC (or GB)
7 M of the TFB (ICF)
12 S in a PLFG
12 F in the ED (A)

Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance :)

12 = Furlongs in the Epsom Derby (approximately) it is actually one and a half miles (12 furlongs) + 10 yards.

12 = "something" in a Premier League Football Game
(it isn't substitutes as 7 are allowed per side)

Yeah, I thought Premier League Football Game too, but 12 what...?
Of course, they may be nothing to do with sport :)

Turns out that the setter had misunderstood the FIFA & IFAB rules and so had thought that in the Football League (including the Premier League), a maximum of 6 substitutes per side could be nominated (which is the default number if no other agreement is made); making 12 per game.

But, as JJ109 and I were aware, the FA has agreed, since 2008, that all its matches may have up to 7 nominated subs per side; making 14 per game.

i.e. it should've been 14 S in a PLFG :)

But I have to admit, I'm still stumped on: 7 BS in TPC (or GB) !!

Got it!!
Will post answer at end of month :)
Please; don't anyone else post if you suss it out :)

7 BS in TPC (or GB) is...
7 Bright Stars in The Plough Constellation (or Great Bear) :)

Strictly speaking I think that the clue should've been:
7 BS in the PC (or GB)
which may be why quite a few people were thrown by it...!
Ah, of course... ;o)

Thanks for letting us know :)
Yes - thanks
