....want to change my FB cover pic, but I can't get to top left hand corner where camera symbol is :(

Try reducing the page size by holding down Ctrl and pressing the - (minus) symbol

What are you trying to do it on. Tablet using an app or pc using tinternet?

Because if someone else saw it there would be trouble. You didn't answer my question. A laptop on Windows 8 thru 10 can use an app or the browser. If an app, try pressing and holding the cover picture. If so, in a second or so you will be seeing various options to change it.

You need to try what I said. If it works, you're using an app. The other half moans about me putting too much detail on Facebook. Already been told off for wanting to post a pic of me in sunglasses.

Thanks Tone, I've known how to do it for years, but my trouble this time is the picture I used was portrait and not landscape, and the camera icon is not visible to me! ;)

Ohhhh, in that case I have no idea then Baths. Maybe Chris will see this thread, he'll probably have a solution.

Can you see 'Update Info' bottom right of cover photo area?

If so click that and the first item (on mine at least) shows your cover pic and a clickable camera - do it from there.
