I have no idea what the official figure is, could you please tell me what it is.
And perhaps enlighten us on what you think the real figure is.

The 500 British Jiihadis in IS is a guessimate, no one knows the true figure.

In this instance, to attack Cameron for inaccurate figures is a little unfair.

and you reasonably ask if the estimates are accurate or as inaccurate as each other. ( do they have the same confidence intervals in geekspeak )

and considering the underestimates on the scottish referendum ( confidence intervals = or - 3 and they still got it wrong )

a relevant question.

"The Numbers Game" is indeed a good question.

Numbers are used in different manners to suit the situation that is to be manipulated:
ie three of the white/right western deaths(necks) = war
cf any number of the wrong deaths does NOT equal war.

Numbers are used as flexibly as Statistics.
