Does anyone have anything other than FAMINE for this? Don't see it if it is famine which can lead to malnutrition but is not, in itself, such.

GKQuick single word clue "Malnutrition (6)"
malnutrition
noun undernourishment, hunger, famine, starvation, poor diet, lack of food, malnourishment, inadequate diet, inanition Infections are more likely in those suffering from malnutrition.
Accirding to Ckambers Thesaurus:

famine
n
starvation, hunger, malnutrition, lack, deprivation, scarcity, shortage of food, dearth, lack, death (formal) destitution, want

So on that basis, FAMINE would seem OK
