Local Charity Quiz

Have done all the other questions (a lot) on this local quiz but am completely stumped on two picture questions. Deadline is next week!
e.g pic of rocket and test tubes = 'Rocket Science'

1. Pic of children playing swingball and pic of spade with person obviously digging as foot is on it and spade is in soil.

2. Pic of padlock with key in it and what looks like an apple
(thought of Locksmith, but it would be technically Granny Smiths)

Pics are black and white. Whole family stumped. Very small prize for winner of this quiz but it's now become a challenge anyway!

Is there a theme to the answers. Ie profession? (you mentioned locksmith)

2. This is corny, but could it be KEY, WEE FRUIT? i.e. KIWI FRUIT. Your decision!

Sorry sir-prize couldn't answer as had to go out. No theme at all.
Oh dear thanks Cruciformist, we did think of Kiwi Fruit but not Forbidden Fruit, decisions, decisions.
