Question Author
thank you again. i'll go for pendant.
Pendant does noit fit both parts of the clue. Pennant does
I think I would go for Pendant - in Chambers Pendant makes reference to a nautical term but it doesn't have any reference under Pennant. I could be wrong though. :-))
pendant *does* fit both
Pennant is a tapering flag
Pendant does NOT fit tapering flag but pennant is in trhe dictionary as an alternative to pendant
So have we decided on pendant?
Pendant is definitely the right answer
Thank you
