thank you - i am doubtful of my answer to this one

TNBERHTUAGB (11) I thought BATTENBURG but there is H left over
not sure, maybe the quiz setter is spelling it as battenburgh?

according to Chambers it is either Battenberg, Battenburg or Battonberg.
Yes, but red velvet cakes also has an extra letter (U). Any extra instructions how to deal with extraneous letters?
