Anyone else think there's a mistake in the clue for 22a: 'Plant stem, soil, ground, earth' ?
The answer is definitely MISTLETOE, but that's not an anagram of STEM and SOIL plus E for earth, which is what the wordplay suggests.

I tried to "prove" that there was an alternative spelling of Missletoe. wasted ages.
The setter Dean Mayer is an Aber? Do tell Goalie, or are you preoccupied with your transfer during the "window". (^_*)
