NO !
No, they don’t speak for me.
They speak for the bleeding heart, welcome one and welcome all brigade, who are happy to see the citizens of this country join the back of the queue, so that they can show what good and virtuous people they are.

Yes you are quite right, we in the UK have thousands of children waiting to be taken in for foster care, no doubt these new arrivals will be sent straight to the head of the queue.
from the Citizen UK website.
// Previously family reunification for unaccompanied children in Calais has fallen to voluntary groups such as Citizens UK, who have reunited 60 children from Calais with family in the UK since March.//
I've never heard of this, is it true?
Bigbad well put ...
Couldnt agree more Bigbad.

I wonder if the C of E will be stumping up some brass for their care out of their vast wealth or are they expecting the tax payer t as usual?
No need to worry.

When this exercise began in earnest a week or two ago we were told (and I cannot remember by whom) that these "children" would be joining their families in the UK. Their families will then be able to support them.

Yeah right. It wasn't mentioned, however, who is supporting the family members already here.
The taxpayers !
So nothing from the extremely wealthy purveyors of fairy tales then?
The photos & Videos of the do-gooders, with banners saying ''Welcome Immigrants'', outside the Home Office, reminds me of the hundreds who did the same in Germany & other Euro Towns, and what's happened to them?
The do gooders all pushed of back to their own Towns where there is no problem. Remember the mantra of the liberal left Do as I say not as I do and NIMBY.

I entered virtually the same feelings, in an earlier thread.

Wasn't there once a similar crowd to these stating "Welcome to Germany", and we all know what kind of trouble that brought to Germany?
Yes, he speak for me. There is an humanitarian disaster going on in Calais, and Britain should doing its bit. That is all I have ever asked for.
No, they don't speak for me. They say it's great that the British Government is acting on what Citizens UK have been calling for, yet their (Citizen UK) website states CitizenUK have been bringing children here since march. As yet I can find no proof of this happening.

Tell me, why in this case should Britain do it's bit?

It is these migrants that chose to come to France and France chose to let them in, so it is France's responsibility not ours.

They should never have allowed them to set up these squalor camps, but found humanitarian accommodation for them from the start, as the UK does for ever immigrant that arrives in our country.

As regards the UK's responsibility we have done more than enough, even funding the setting up of refugee camps in their own country.

That could refer to something like this...

I think Citizens UK assists other groups and organisation with such matters, the 'Safe Passage Programme' being one.

"There is an humanitarian disaster going on in Calais, and Britain should doing its bit."

No, Mikey. France should be doing its bit. If it had done its bit a little earlier by not allowing the situation to develop to the current shambles it is, none of the current action would be necessary.

Well now they are bringing them in, in curtained buses and behind curtained reception centres, so perhaps they once brought them through the 'back door'?
